Former Maryland Standout now on the staff for Navy - Mike Letts

After trading victories over the first four matches, the 13th-ranked Maryland wrestling team won four of the final six bouts to secure a 23-12 victory over Navy last

Friday evening in front of better than 1,000 fans at Alumni Hall in Annapolis.  A fall by Maryland senior Kyle John at 157 pounds helped spark the run by the Terps, as they pushed their record to 11-0.

Mike Letts, 2011 NCAA All-American for the University of Maryland, joined the U.S. Naval Academy wrestling staff. As a Maryland wrestler, Letts was a three-time ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) champ at 174 pounds, winning Outstanding Wrestler honors at the 2011 ACC championships. A three-time NCAA qualifier, the native of Parkersburg, Pa. placed seventh at 174 at the 2011 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, concluding his career with the Terps with a 131-28 record.

Just an interesting drop move from a recent match

Navy played and lost to Rutgers earlier in the week.
